Not only did Newcastle Jets smash two stunners – including a contender for goal of the season – but they also made history in Friday night’s 2-2 draw with Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
Newcastle have now scored in each of their 20 games this season.
This means Ernie Merrick’s men have become the sixth side in Hyundai A-League history to hit the net in 20 consecutive matches.
What’s more, their shooting accuracy at Spotless stadium was an impressive 45.7 percent from their 15 shots on Vedran Janjetovic’s goal.
