Newcastle Jets will play three friendlies against PS4 NPL clubs ahead of their Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 clash with Adelaide United next month.
Fellow Westfield FFA Cup outfit Broadmeadow Magic are amongst the opponents for Ernie Merrick’s squad, as well as Weston Workers Bears and Hamilton Olympic.
All three local friendlies will kick-off at 7:00pm with admission at each venue to be determined by the host Club.
“These games represent a great chance for our members and fans to see the team live early in pre-season so we hope strong numbers come out for each match,” Merrick said.
“I am looking forward to observing the local NPL players and hopefully the lads from Weston, Broadmeadow and Hamilton are excited by the opportunity also, because you never know when a player with potential may pop up.”
“It’s important for us to start playing competitive friendlies against local sides that are match fit and eager to impress.”
