Newcastle Jets have parted ways with three members of their coaching staff, though this season-s interim coach Clayton Zane still remains after the shake-up.
Assistant coach Craig Deans, goalkeeper coach Bob Catlin and strength and conditioning coach Karl Dodd have been shown the door with immediate effect, said the club in a brief release this afternoon.
Zane was the interim coach this season after the club parted ways with coach Gary Van Egmond mid-season.
He wasn-t able to drag the team back into the finals meaning the Jets missed out on the play-offs for a fourth year in a row.
“We thank Craig, Bob and Karl for their commitment and hard work during their time with the Club, all have played an important role in the development of our team and players and we wish them all the best for their future careers,” Jets CEO Robbie Middleby said.
Coaching staff for the 2014/15 season will be announced in time, added the club.
This week, former Central Coast coach Graham Arnold met with the Jets regarding the vacant head coach position.
