Melbourne Victory boss Jeff Hopkins has taken out the Westfield W-League Coach of the Month award for February.
Hopkins was rewarded with the gong for turning his Victory side from finals outsiders a few weeks ago to second spot and a home Semi Final.
While the month started with a sobering Melbourne Derby loss to runaway Premiers City, they bounced back in devastating fashion.
Victory booked their finals spot with a 7-0 drubbing of Newcastle Jets before a final round 3-1 win over Sydney FC to leapfrog the Sky Blues into second on the ladder.
Hopkins’ side will have this weekend off before a rematch with the Sky Blues in the Semi Final for a berth in the 2020 decider.
