Award-winning referee Jarred Gillett will blow the whistle on his Hyundai A-League career when he referees his last match in the competition tomorrow night between Brisbane Roar FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers FC at Suncorp Stadium.
Gillett officially submitted his resignation from the Hyundai A-League referee panel earlier in the year to take up academic and refereeing opportunities in England.
As one of FFA’s foundation full-time referees, has refereed 157 matches since 2010 including five (5) Hyundai A-League Grand Finals and has been named the Hyundai A-League Referee of the Year five (5) times.
Gillett was also one of the first Hyundai A-League match officials trained as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
FFA Head of Leagues, Greg O’Rourke, thanked Jarred for his outstanding service to the Hyundai A-League and wished him well for his future endeavours.

“Jarred has been one of our very best Referees for a long time know and it is great to see him continue his trade in the UK,” said O’Rourke.
“Jarred will become the first import for the PGMOL globally and it is testament to his ability and his character that he has been afforded the opportunity.
“We wish Jarred and his family all the best for the next stage of their lives in England and we hope to see his refereeing career continue to flourish, concluded O’Rourke.
