The 21-year-old made five appearances for the Mariners in December, contributing to two clean sheets, three wins and two draws, scoring against Perth Glory on New Year’s Eve to cap off his stellar month in the A-Leagues.

Farrell earned the December nomination for the award after Wellington Phoenix keeper Alex Paulsen was nominated in November, and Nestory Irankunda claimed the October nomination.

The young defender is also in the running for December’s Fan Player of the Month award for December, which you can vote for here.
