Newcastle Jets have parted company with 22-year-old Australia U-23 international defender Ivan Vujica.
The full back made his debut for the Jets against Adelaide United in Round 1 of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 campaign, and went on to play 48 times for the club.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time playing for the Jets in front of the Newcastle fans, they always made me feel welcome and I want to thank them for that,” Vujica said.
“Newcastle is a city I love, the people have always been fantastic to me, it’s a great playing group and I’d like to wish everyone at the club the best of luck in the upcoming season.”

Jets boss Ernie Merrick thanked the defender for his service to the club, saying: “Ivan is a top professional and has been a terrific servant to the Jets.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to offer Ivan the guaranteed game time he wants, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
