Isaias urges Adelaide to get aggressive in defence of Coopers Stadium

Adelaide United must show an aggressive streak to unlock the home form that has eluded them this season, according to captain Isaias.

Marco Kurz’s men have collected just five points from a possible 15 at Coopers Stadium, losing two of the last three.

They have the chance to correct that record against Western Sydney Wanderers on Wednesday and midfielder Isaias has encouraged his team-mates to get on the front foot.

“We need to be stronger at home. We need to be aggressive from the first minute,” the skipper said.

“Every game is important, but when we play at home it’s even more important.

“One of the most important things in the season is to [regularly] get three points at home.

“We are 100 per cent sure [if we do that] we will be at the top at the end of the season.

“For us it’s massive that all the supporters come to help us because with them we’re much stronger and we need them.”

Adelaide’s lone win from five home matches this term is last month’s 2-1 defeat of Brisbane Roar.

Victory against the Wanderers would see them join Melbourne City and Wellington Phoenix on 14 points.
