Isaías says Adelaide United’s new recruits have settled into life at the club seamlessly as they prepare for their first competitive match of the season against Central Coast Mariners in the FFA Cup.
The Reds have a home tie at Marden Sports Complex for the Round of 32 clash, where new faces like Michael Jakobsen, Craig Goodwin, Mirko Boland and Ken Ilso could all feature.

Coach Marco Kurz has yet to decide how many of his new brigade he’ll unleash for the clash but Isaias has been impressed by the all of them, especially the imports.
“They’ve adapted very quickly,” the Spaniard said.
“I’m surprised because it’s difficult when you come to a new club and even a new country and sometimes it’s very difficult and you need time to adapt.
“But I think they’ve done really well and they’ve adapted very quickly and we’re very happy with them.
“I think they’re very good players, they’re experienced players, they can bring us a lot of things,” Isaias added.
“And I hope that they can help us on Wednesday but obviously it’s a decision from Marco and hopefully we will reach the next round.”
It’s been an intense start to pre-season for the Reds, who have been back at work for over a month ahead of the 2018/19 Season.
Kurz has again put the squad through a number of double sessions and Isaias admits the players are eager to play a competitive match.
“We’re really excited about the new season and I think it’s the first official game for us,” Isaías said.
“And we’ve been training for over a month for this game and everyone is really excited to play and start well this season.

“Most of the trainings we’ve worked on our fitness and also tactically.
“And I think everybody knows more or less our system, our style and I think everybody looks sharp.”

Isaías also revealed that he is a huge fan of the FFA Cup and said a win was extra crucial in order to play as many competitive games as possible ahead of the Hyundai A-League season.
“I personally like this competition a lot,” he explained.
“I think it’s very attractive for everyone it’s a one-game round – you win you go and if you lose you stay home.
“And I think it’s very important for us to reach the next round because otherwise the pre-season will be very long and I think we’re looking forward to reaching the next round.”
