The teams are in ahead of Thursday’s ‘Big Blue’ doubleheader between Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC.
The action kicks off with a Liberty A-League battle between third-placed Sydney and fourth-placed Victory; the two clubs have faced off in consecutive A-League Women Grand Finals, and with a win capable of sending either side (currently locked on 18 points) to within a point of second-placed Melbourne City, this midweek edition of the A-League Women Big Blue is sure to be yet another high-stakes affair.
Following the A-League Women action comes a battle between the club’s men’s sides in the Isuzu UTE A-League. Sydney FC (10th) are just three points above last-placed Victory, with pressure building on the head coaches of both clubs to turn their respectively poor form lines around.
