Brisbane Roar have confirmed that defender Daniel Bowles requires major knee surgery and will subsequently miss the remainder of the Hyundai A-League season.
The injury to Bowles occurred after a collision with a Melbourne City player in the 88th minute of last Saturday night’s match at AAMI Park in the Hyundai A-League competition.

Bowles, on Monday, 13 February had an MRI Scan on his right knee and unfortunately after consulting Club surgeon Jeremy Bartlett it was determined that Daniel suffered a rupture to his right Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and has some associated damage to surrounding cartilage.
Regrettably, surgery will now be performed as soon as possible to allow rehabilitation and recovery to commence.Â
