Adelaide United have been dealt a blow with news defender Taylor Regan will miss up to three months of the Hyundai League season through injury.
The Reds confirmed on Wednesday that Regan has sustained a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle.
He picked up the injury in the second half of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand.
“Following Sunday’s match, Taylor had an MRI scan as well as further imaging yesterday which confirmed a syndesmosis injury of his left ankle,” Adelaide United’s club’s doctor Dr James Ilic said.
Adelaide is on the road against for Round 2 of the Hyundai A-League, facing Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
