Melbourne City have suffered an injury blow on the cusp of the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season with Michael O’Halloran set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
According to Melbourne City’s official website, the Scottish import has sustained a hamstring injury that will rule the winger out for eight to 12 weeks.

The injury occurred in City’s friendly against Brisbane Roar on Sunday, in which Warren Joyce’s side won 1-0 thanks to a stunning strike from Dario Vidosic.
O’Halloran joined Melbourne in June from Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
Melbourne City conclude their pre-season preparations with a final friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers in Shepparton on Friday, before commencing the Hyundai A-League season against Melbourne Victory on October 20.
