After a loss in their season opener last week, City bounced back to win the Melbourne Derby 1-0.

They bossed possession and deservedly won via a late and brave header from Rebekah Stott. For Victory, 15-year-old Kyra Cooney-Cross caught the eye with some classy attacking runs.

Sutton’s late drama wins it for Wanderers

Stoppage time and Rosie Sutton popped up to break Adelaide hearts with a winner in a 2-1 victory at Marconi Stadium.

Jets make it two from two

Like their Hyundai A-League counterparts, the Jets have made an eye-catching start to the season.

Two first half goals to Newcastle saw them win the NSW Derby 2-0 over winless Sydney FC, who had Lisa De Vanna in their starting XI.

Kerr’s Glory steamroll Roar

In the stultifying heat of Brisbane, Sam Kerr helped Glory to their second consecutive 4-1 win after rolling Roar at Suncorp.

American Rachel Hill with a hat-trick and Kerr’s penalty making it eight goals in their opening two rounds for Glory, who look like an early contender for team to beat.
