Perth Glory striker Bruno Fornaroli has been named in Tony Popovic’s squad to face his former side Melbourne City at AAMI Park on Friday night.
It will be the first game the Uruguayan has played against City since his dramatic departure from the club in February this year.
There are some big ins for both Glory and City ahead of their Round 9 clash: Popovic includes Tomislav Mrcela in his squad for the first time since the centre-half suffered an injury setback in pre-season, while Florin Berenguer is back in the City squad after an extended absence.
Meanwhile,Newcastle Jets striker Kaine Sheppard has been named in the Newcastle Jets squad for the first time since sustaining a serious foot injury in September.
Sheppard was not expected to return to action until the new year but has been included in Ernie Merrick’s squad to take on Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon, replacing Abdiel Arroyo who has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, the Reds will be without star midfielder Riley McGree for their clash with the Jets, who is sidelined with a knee injury.
Read on for all the important team news for every match this weekend.
