What a weekend for Jet Brown
Newcastle Jets midfielder Wayne Brown won’t forget Round 14 Hyundai A-League weekend in a hurry.
The Englishman played the first 45 minutes of the Jets 3-2 win at Brisbane Roar but was substituted at the break to make the dash to the airport to get back to Newcastle after news came through his wife was in labour with the couple’s second child.
While Mrs Brown wasn’t due until next week, a flight was pre-booked just in case Brown needed to get home early.
And he was back at his wife’s side just a few hours later.
