Hyundai A-League stats preview: Jets v Phoenix

An in-form Newcastle Jets can set a new club record when they welcome bottom-placed Wellington Phoenix to McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday night.

The second-placed Jets have won four straight matches at home and will notch a new benchmark for consecutive home victories should they overcome the Kiwi outfit.

Newcastle have beaten Adelaide (2-1), Wanderers (4-0), Central Coast (2-0) and Brisbane Roar (1-0) in their impressive run at home.

Meanwhile, a rejuvenated Wellington have picked up four points in the last fortnight with a 2-1 win over Victory and a 1-1 draw with Wanderers at Westpac Stadium.
