Based on a range of metrics provided by the Hyundai A-League’s official data provider, here’s the Team of the Week for Round 2.
GOALKEEPER
Paul Izzo (Reds) – The Adelaide shot-stopper made five saves in his side’s 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar. No goalkeeper registered more across the weekend.
DEFENDERS
Josh Rose (Mariners) – The veteran fullback completed 90% of his 51 passes for the Mariners against Western Sydney Wanderers. He also created a chance for one of his teammates.
Bart Schenkeveld (City) – The centre-back registered six clearances and made a block for City in their 2-1 win over Victory.
Iacopo La Rocca (City) – The Italian made seven interceptions against Victory; no player has claimed more across the opening two weeks.

Manny Muscat (City) – The energetic fullback made two blocks and also created a chance as City earned a memorable Derby win.
MIDFIELDERS
Dario Vidosic (Phoenix) – The playmaker was directly involved in both of Phoenix’s goals against Sydney FC, scoring a neat header and claiming an assist for the other.
Marcin Budzinski (City) – The Polish marquee came off the bench and got on the scoresheet with his first shot. His other goal attempt was also on target.
Goran Paracki (Phoenix) – The hard-working midfielder made a team-high 64 passes, had 86 touches, completed three tackles as well as three clearances.
Nick Fitzgerald (City) – The lively winger created three chances for his teammates; two of them resulting in assists.
STRIKERS
Adam Taggart (Glory) – The Aussie striker netted both of his side’s goals in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle Jets. All three of his goal attempts were on target.
Bobo (Sydney FC) – The Brazilian scored twice against Phoenix and created two chances for teammates in their 3-2 win .
