2005/06
The top four teams of the inaugural Hyundai A-League season was determined in Round 20, 2005/06, with Adelaide, Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle confirming their final four placings all with a game in hand.
2006/07
Adelaide United move into the all-important second spot on the ladder with one round remaining in 2006/07, the Reds scoring in the last minute to secure a critical 1-0 victory over third-placed Sydney FC in front of almost 15,000 at Hindmarsh Stadium.
2007/08
The penultimate round of 2007/08 ends in remarkable fashion with Queensland, Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle all stuck on 31 points at the top of the ladder to ensure a fascinating final round of the 2007/08 season.
