Football Federation Australia and the Hyundai A-League Clubs will recognise ANZAC Day 2015, the 100th Anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, with special ceremonies at all five matches during Round 27 of the Hyundai A-League.
Players, officials and fans will take a moment to remember those who gave their lives in their service to their country not only in the First World War, but in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
FFA CEO David Gallop paid tribute to the ANZAC soldiers, and all the defence force personnel who have protected our nation.
“Anzac Day is part of the fabric of our nation and resonates with all Australians as we take time to remember and recognise those who gave their lives so we can enjoy the lifestyle we have in Australia,” Mr Gallop said.
“FFA and the A-League clubs have partnered with respective RSLs to ensure we show appropriate respect to what is a very important day for all Australians.”
