Newcastle Jets, Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United warmed up for their Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 clashes next week with impressive wins in friendly action on Wednesday night.
JETS FLY ABOVE MAITLAND
Goals from Dimitri Petratos, his brother Kosta, Devante Clut and Chinese trialist Zhengyu Zhu helped Newcastle Jets to a 4-0 friendly win over Maitland FC on Wednesday.
Dimitri Petratos struck the only goal of the first half when he finished off a sublime team move before the Jets’ class showed after the break as they added three more.

KOSTA TREBLE SPARKS VICTORY
Melbourne Victory has made it two wins from two in its Hyundai A-League pre-season, defeating Bentleigh Greens 5-0 on Wednesday night.
The returning Kosta Barbarouses scored a second-half hat-trick for Kevin Muscat’s side, with Besart Berisha and Mitch Austin grabbing the other goals.

GREAT DANE IMPRESSES ON REDS DEBUT
New Danish recruit Johan Absalonsen was on the scoresheet as Adelaide United beat PS4 NPL side Adelaide Comets 4-0 at Marden Sports Complex on Wednesday night.
As well as his goal, Absalonsen also had an assist as Taylor Regan, Mark Ochieng and Lachlan Brook also found the net.
