Hyundai A-League memberships hit 100k!

Hyundai A-League memberships have reached their highest-ever number, smashing through the 100,000 mark this week.

After a bumper opening round to the season, the news just keeps getting better for the competition with the number of memberships now reaching 100,438.

It’s the first time the Hyundai A-League has broken through the 100,000 barrier, up  11% on this time last season.

And membership figures have now doubled over the last four seasons.

The excitement and quality of football over the opening weekend caught the imagination of the public with more than 6000 new members signing up around the week one of the season.

Half of the Hyundai A-League clubs have now achieved record membership numbers this season.

Western Sydney Wanderers FC (17,906), Brisbane Roar (11,435), Sydney FC (11,013), Melbourne City (9448) and Wellington Phoenix (3636) are all at club-high figures and still rising.

Melbourne Victory are still out in front with 21,700, adding another 559 memberships this week following their 4-1 demolition of the Wanderers on the opening night.
