Fans have embraced the new Hyundai A-League season, with clubs achieving 100,000 members before round 2 for the first time ever. Strong year on year growth has the Hyundai A-League tracking towards a record number of fans signing up to support their clubs.
Total membership hit 103,293 on Friday, the first time that it’s gone past the 100,000 mark before Round 2 of the season. It’s a strong endorsement by fans, coming after strong round 1 attendance.

With the start of the season, membership growth has accelerated and the clubs have last year’s record of 118,501 members well in sight.
Newcastle Jets (9,739), Adelaide United (6,980), Brisbane Roar (9,171) and Wellington Phoenix (4,950) are all ahead of where they were this time last season.
Hyundai A-League champions Melbourne Victory continue to lead the way, currently with 24,867 members signed up, ahead of Western Sydney Wanderers (15,341).
The Wanderers’ fierce neighbours Sydney FC are also tracking well, ahead of their Sydney Derby clash tonight at the SCG.
