Mark Milligan (Victory v Reds)
Victory may have been on the wrong end of the scoreline but Milligan’s strike will live long in the memory of the Big V faithful.
An exquisite effort. Leroy George’s cross found its way through to the midfielder, who flicked the ball over Daniel Adlung and rifled a volley into the bottom corner off his left foot.
Brandon O’Neill (Sydney FC v Wanderers)
In a one-side derby, O’Neill put the stamp on a dominant performance with a sublime strike from the edge of the box.
The ball fell to O’Neill after a lightning counter exposed some flimsy Wanderers defence, with the midfield cutting inside before curling a wonderful effort into the far corner.
Ross McCormack (City v Mariners)
A truly fabulous team goal.
Dean Bouzanis picked out Luke Brattan with a superb cross-field pass with the midfielder working the ball inside before teeing up McCormack, with the Scotsman expertly slotting home.
