Melbourne Victory’s James Troisi has claimed this week’s Hyundai A-League Goal of the Week, as voted by the fans.
The Playmaker netted an incredible long-range strike in Victory’s 2-1 loss to Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on Friday night.
It may have been in a losing effort but Troisi’s strike was an absolute rocket.
The Caltex Socceroo pounced on a loose ball 30 yards from goal before unleashing a stunning strike from distance which gave keeper Jamie Young no chance.
The 29-year-old claimed more than 55% of the fans’ vote, with Milos Ninkovic’s classy strike for Sydney FC against City earning just less than 30% of the total.
