Hyundai A-League goal of the week contenders

There were 11 goals in just three matches over the weekend in the Hyundai A-League, with a few of those strikes absolute stunners. But which one was the best?

We’ve come up with three wonderful efforts and now it’s up to you to decide which is the Goal of the Week.

JAMES TROISI (VICTORY V ROAR)

It might have been in a losing effort but Troisi’s strike was an absolute rocket.

Roar’s defence cleared the ball to the Caltex Socceroo 30 yards from goal and he unleashed a stunning strike from distance which gave keeper Jamie Young no chance.

MILOS NINKOVIC (SYDNEY FC V CITY)

The excellent Michael Zullo stole the ball in transition and burst forward before cutting inside and finding Ninkovic.

The Serbian star took one touch to control before curling a shot past Dean Bouzanis with the outside of his right boot.

ORIOL RIERA (WANDERERS V PHOENIX)

After Chris Ikonomidis battled to keep possession inside the box, the ball spilled back to Josh Risdon.

The right-back sent over a curling cross which the Spaniard met with a powerful header back across the goal and over Lewis Italiano.
