Adelaide United’s Daniel Adlung has claimed the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Week, as voted by the fans.
The midfielder claimed the honour for his left-footed strike in the Reds’ 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday.
With scores locked at 1-1 just before the break, Adlung produced a moment of brilliance to hand his side a deserved lead.
Nathan Konstandopoulos dribbled past three markers before a ricochet fell to Adlung, with the German firing a cultured strike into the top corner from the edge of the area.
Adlung’s effort narrowly edged out Bruno Fornaroli’s long-range effort for Melbourne City in a 2-1 loss to Wellington Phoenix.
