Newcastle Jets winger Andrew Nabbout has claimed the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Round, as voted by the fans.
In a weekend full of spectacular strikes, Nabbout’s thumping effort in the Jets’ thrilling 2-2 draw with Western Sydney Wanderers stood above the rest.
After falling behind 2-1 midway through the second half, Newcastle equalised directly from the ensuing kick-off in spectacular fashion.
After combining brilliantly with Dimi Petratos, Nabbout surged towards goal before striking a curling effort with the outside of his foot into the top corner.
The technique and power of the strike was simply incredible.
Unsurprisingly, Nabbout’s effort was comfortably the most popular goal of the round, claiming more than 70% of the fans’ vote.
