Melbourne City striker Ross McCormack has claimed the Hyundai A-League goal of the week for Round 17, as voted by the fans.
McCormack netted his side’s final goal in a big 5-0 win over Adelaide United at AAMI Park on Sunday night.
The Scotsman’s 14th goal of the season was undoubtedly his best yet.
After a phenomenal first touch after receiving the ball from Mauk, McCormack unleashed a fierce curling strike from distance over the outstretched hand of Margush and into the top corner.
In a round filled with cracking strikes, McCormack’s effort was clearly the most popular attracting more than 41% of the fans’ votes.
Kosta Barbarouses’ long-range effort against Wanderers earned 31% of the total, while City’s Dario Vidosic attracted 28% of the vote for his powerful volley against Adelaide.
