F3 Derby hostilities will be resumed on Saturday night as the Central Coast Mariners take on Newcastle Jets in a Round 27 Hyundai A-League blockbuster.
There is always plenty of feeling whenever these to fierce rivals meet and this clash at Central Coast Stadium should be no different.
It’s the first clash at Gosford since the opening round of the 2017/18 Season when a former Mariner returned to haunt his former club.
Roy O’Donovan swapped the Mariners for the Jets in the off-season and on his first return to the club, he scored a first-half hat-trick in a 5-1 win for Ernie Merrick’s troops.
Despite going behind early on, the Jets had too much class and firepower for the home side in a pulsating start to the new season.
