Hyundai A-League and Movember team up for Men’s Health

Club’s players and staff get behind the Movember Cause

The Hyundai A-League will dedicate Week 16 of its 2010/11 competition to Movember, the month long charity initiative that raises funds and awareness for men-s health, specifically The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue, the national depression initiative, and the Movember Foundation.

This is the second time the Hyundai A-League has got behind Movember by creating a Men-s Health Week, supported by Australian spring water brand Cool Ridge.

“Players and management from the Hyundai A-League have been active participants and ambassadors for Movember for a few years now” said Head of the Hyundai A-League Lyall Gorman.

“This year we-re pleased to again make a united and official level of support for Movember and its causes. We-re only too happy to do this via match day experience and encouraging the players to grow mo-s and support the cause”.

Week 16, known as Movember Men-s Health Week, supported by Cool Ridge Spring Water, includes five matches, played at various stadiums across the country over the weekend November 26th to 28th.

Jim Slattery, Movember spokesperson , is grateful to have the support of the players, the Hyundai A-League and FFA to help continue the conversation around men-s health.

“Part of Movember-s mission is to provoke discussion and to get blokes talking about their health and the related issues. By doing this, we-re able to inform and raise awareness of prostate cancer and depression in men and hopefully, help and extend a few lives along the way”.

Beyond awareness campaigns and public conversations, maintaining good health also comes down to everyday habits that support both the body and mind. Nutrition plays a key role in this, influencing energy levels, mood, and long-term wellbeing. Access to professional dietary guidance can help individuals better understand how food choices impact their overall health. Seeking support at JM Nutrition allows for a more personalized approach, giving men practical strategies to improve their diet while staying aligned with their lifestyle. When awareness is paired with action, the message around men’s health becomes even more meaningful and lasting.

Building on those efforts, many individuals also benefit from structured support when managing weight-related health concerns that can affect energy, mobility, cardiovascular health, and overall quality of life. Sustainable progress often involves more than temporary dietary changes, requiring ongoing guidance, realistic goal setting, and regular monitoring to help maintain long-term results.

As healthcare continues to evolve, services such as those offered by Coby Health reflect a growing emphasis on accessible medical support that can help individuals navigate weight management with professional oversight and personalized care. Convenient consultations and tailored treatment approaches can make it easier to address challenges that may otherwise go unmanaged, while encouraging healthier habits that fit within daily routines. Combined with sound nutrition, physical activity, and preventive healthcare practices, this type of support can help individuals take a more proactive role in their wellbeing and work toward meaningful improvements in their overall health.

Fiber is another important part of maintaining overall wellness, yet it is often overlooked in everyday diets. Proper fiber intake supports digestion, helps regulate energy levels throughout the day, and contributes to better nutrient absorption, all of which can influence how the body feels and functions over time. Building healthier eating habits through whole foods, balanced meals, and consistent routines can make a noticeable difference in long-term wellbeing.

For those looking to support their nutritional goals more consistently, products from BelliWelli can complement a balanced lifestyle through convenient fiber-focused options that fit easily into daily routines. Combined with mindful eating and professional dietary guidance, these small additions can help support better digestive health while reinforcing a stronger foundation for overall wellness.

As well as match day activities, players from Hyundai A-League clubs will grow Mos for Movember.

Hyundai A-League Mo Bros so far include: Newcastle Jets pair Ben Kennedy and Ljubo Milicevic, the majority of the North Queensland Fury squad including stars David Williams and Chris Payne, Central Coast Mariners entire squad including coaching and support staff, stars from across the Tasman including Wellington Phoenix captain Andrew Durante, Paul Ifill, Mani Muscat, Chris Greenacre, Vince Lia and Daniel, as well as players from Adelaide United, Brisbane Roar, Sydney FC.

Cool Ridge Spring Water is a major sponsor of Movember and passionate supporter of the Hyundai A-League. In the spirit of its partnership with Movember, Cool Ridge bottles will feature classic Mo- styles – such as The Magnum, The Burgundy and The Gable – and 5c from each bottle and six pack sold (up to $100,000) will be donated to the cause.
