GOLD Coast United have a new-look playing strip and a new front-of-shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2011/12 Hyundai A-League season after the Hyatt Regency Coolum were unveiled today as the club-s newest partner.

Hyatt Regency Coolum-s front of shirt sponsorship of the Gold Coast United team will provide the company with high profile brand exposure during every game this season in both Australia and internationally through the television broadcast of Hyundai A-League games.

Gold Coast United owner, Mr Clive Palmer, who recently added the Hyatt Regency Coolum to his business portfolio, said the club-s new association with the resort represented an excellent opportunity to highlight his home state-s broad appeal as one of the globe-s top tourism hubs.

“Queensland has some of the greatest tourist destinations in the world and both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast epitomise what this great state is all about, so for the Hyatt Regency Coolum to be our new sponsor is a great fit,” Mr Palmer said.

He continued: “The Gold and Sunshine Coasts are great places to live, but they-re also fantastic places to visit and enjoy spending time with the family or doing business.

“Both our club and the Hyatt Regency Coolum are outside the state capital and represent regional and country Queensland, so there is natural synergy between the two brands.

“The Hyatt Regency Coolum is an iconic resort in Queensland and they are thrilled to now see their brand displayed on the shirts of Gold Coast United, along with our other great sponsors, Queensland Nickel and Modern Solar.”

General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Coolum, Maurice Holland, echoed Mr Palmer-s comments.

“We are delighted to sponsor Gold Coast United and have our brand associated with both the club and the Hyundai A-League, which is growing as a very significant sporting competition with considerable television exposure at home and abroad,” Mr Holland said.

He added: “Gold Coast United have enjoyed a very successful first two years in the Hyundai A-League and we are confident the team will build on that success in the coming season. The Hyatt Regency Coolum is excited to join forces with the club and we are looking forward to a long association that will be mutually beneficial across many platforms.”
