Huster takes out Jets’ Westfield W-League Player of the Year

US import Tori Huster has taken out the prestigious Westfield W-League Player of the Year award as the Newcastle Jets best player for the 2017/18 Season.

The midfielder starred with her all-action displays for the Jets, who made the finals for the first time in nine years, combining superbly with Emily van Egmond and Clare Wheeler in the middle of the park.

The 28-year-old, who plays with Washington Spirit in the NWSL, scored two goals in 12 appearances for the campaign.

Compatriot Katie Stengel was also among the awards, taking out the Jets’ Westfield W-League Golden Boot, with 10 goals from her 13 matches.

Van Egmond, currently in Jordan with the Westfield Matildas, took out Members’ Player of the Year, while Wheeler received the Cheryl Salisbury Dedication Award.
