Brisbane Roar have the opportunity to pile the pressure on runaway Westfield W-League leaders Sydney FC as the race for the Premiership hots up heading into Round 8.
Jake Goodship’s side play two games in the Harbour City in the space of four days, first facing Western Sydney Wanderers on Thursday, 11 February before aiming to end the perfect record of the Sky Blues in a Valentine’s Day skirmish on Sunday.
If the Queenslanders were able to take maximum points from their two outings, they would sit two points behind Ante Juric’s team, but if Sydney claim all three points at Leichhardt Oval, they take a step closer to claiming a first Premiership in 10 years.
Canberra United travel to Adelaide United on Sunday with each team aiming to tighten their grip on a top-four place.
