Brisbane Roar v Western Sydney Wanderers
Friday, 7.50pm (AEDT)
Both these teams will be on a high after some positive results in what has been a bleak season.
Brisbane put on the style as they ran out 5-3 winners over Central Coast Mariners in Gosford in their last outing.
Imports Alex Lopez and Eric Bautheac showcased their talent with some spectacular strikes and interim manager Darren Davies will be hoping they can do it on a more consistent basis, beginning Friday night.
SIGNING NEWS: Roar announce signing of promising youngster Powell
The Wanderers meanwhile have put together a string of good results and backed up two straight wins with a last-minute equaliser against ladder leaders Perth Glory.
Markus Babbel will like his side’s chances of leaving Suncorp Stadium with three points and keeping alive their very faint finals hopes.
A win for the Roar would see them leap ahead of the Wanderers into eighth place.

Tipping
Central Coast Mariners v Wellington Phoenix
Saturday, 7.50pm (AEDT)
While this match-up may not appear from a distance to have much of an effect on the final six, Wellington Phoenix needs to take three points to put the pressure back on the chasing Newcastle Jets.
The Nix currently sit in sixth position on the Hyundai A-League ladder on 28 points while the seventh-placed Jets are on 26.
While embedded in the top six for the majority of the season, Wellington are certainly not guaranteed post-season action and will expect nothing less than a win from their trip to Gosford.
The Mariners meanwhile have nothing but pride left to play for as they stare down the barrel of consecutive wooden spoons.
Mike Mulvey’s men suffered heartbreak the last time they met the Phoenix, giving up a two-goal lead to eventually fall 3-2 at Westpac Stadium.
With nothing to lose, the hosts may just give us another thriller!
How to watch: You can catch this Saturday night game on Fox Sports 505 as well as LIVE and FREE on Ten Bold with kick-off at 7:50pm AEDT. You can also stream it live on the MyFootball Live App, while you can also subscribe to Kayo Sports.
