The race to the Hyundai A-League Finals Series is heating up with nine teams still in the running to make the top six.
While Sydney FC have the Premiership wrapped up, the battle for second spot is wide open with Melbourne City, Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar all in contention.
But the contest for the final two spots in the six is set for a thrilling climax, with Perth Glory, Adelaide United, Western United FC, Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers FC vying for the last two positions.
It means every game between now and the end of the campaign will have a bearing on the final make-up of the top six.
It all starts on Wednesday night where the race for second spot should become clearer when Wellington Phoenix take on Brisbane Roar.

In form Adelaide United will look to continue Sydney FC’s mini slump – the Premiers have lost two games in a row – on Thursday night, before Western United play the Wanderers in Friday night football.
