The Hyundai A-League clubs take centre-stage as the FFA Cup 2019 Round of 32 heads into its third matchday next Wednesday night.
Eight of the 10 clubs that will be in action on Wednesday, August 7 are from the Hyundai A-League, including Robbie Fowler’s first competitive match as Brisbane Roar boss.
And what a huge task it is for Roar, a trip to Sydney to face the defending Hyundai A-League champions the Sky Blues.
Two Hyundai A-League sides will also face tricky first-up tests against NPL opposition, with reigning champions Adelaide United to open their title defence under new boss Gertjan Verbeek.
The Reds head to Victoria for what looms as a tough battle against NPL powerhouses Melbourne Knights.
Despite reaching the Finals Series last season, Wellington Phoenix have undergone quite a transformation over the off-season. Their first test under new boss Ufuk Talay is in Queensland against Brisbane Strikers.
