How to watch: A-League Matchweek 18

There’s a new coach at the helm at Melbourne Victory as the Navy Blue prepare for two crucial A-League clashes throughout Matchweek 18.

Victory face Western Sydney Wanderers at Marvel Stadium on Friday, April 23 – the first game interim boss Steve Kean will oversee after Grant Brebner’s departure from the role. Victory’s second game of Matchweek 18 will take place against Sydney FC in a Big Blue at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Tuesday, April 27.

Western United host Wellington Phoenix in the first game of the Matchweek, on Thursday, April 22. It’s the second fixture of United’s Tasmanian Festival of Football to take place at UTAS Stadium, after the Green and Black defeated Central Coast Mariners at the same venue in Matchweek 17.

The Mariners host Sydney FC on Saturday afternoon before Melbourne City travel to Campbelltown Stadium to take on Macarthur FC later that evening.

There’s two A-League fixtures on ANZAC Day – April 25 – with Brisbane Roar hosting Perth Glory at Moreton Daily Stadium in the early kick-off (2.05pm AEST) before Wellington host Adelaide United at WIN Stadium.

Matchweek 18 will then  roll into mid-week, with three fixtures to come between Monday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 28.

Western United return to Victoria to host Newcastle Jets at AAMI Park on Monday evening. Sydney FC and Victory will face off in the Big Blue on Tuesday and the Mariners and Roar will round out the action with a contest at Central Coast Stadium on Wednesday night.
