And it’s perhaps fitting that the competition’s two most successful clubs are left standing in what promises to be a thrilling decider at AAMI Park on Saturday.
Both Melbourne City and Sydney FC have won a record three titles in the competition’s history, with the victor on Sunday to become the first to lift the silverware for a fourth time.
While City – aiming to complete an invincible season – will be favourites to get the job done, defending champions the Sky Blues know what it takes to win on this stage.
