Hoole heading to Sydney

Sydney FC have officially confirmed the signing of Young Socceroo Andrew Hoole on a two year deal.

Hoole represents the first new addition to Head Coach Graham Arnold’s squad for next season, and will represent Sydney FC for the 2015/16 and 2016/17 Hyundai A-League seasons.

Primarily a winger, Andrew Hoole joins from the Newcastle Jets where he made 50 appearances in three seasons. Hoole has earned caps for the Young Socceroos at both U-20 and U-23 levels and he enjoyed a stellar 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season, impressing many with his vision and skill on the ball and claiming the Jets Player of the Year award.

Sydney FC Head Coach Graham Arnold welcomed the 21 year old to the club and hopes he can add further quality and competition to his record breaking side.

“Andrew is a quality young player with a proven track record in the Hyundai A-League,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to working with him and I can’t wait to nurture the talent that he has already displayed this season.

“I’m confident Andrew will provide great competition for places and that will only see us build on our record breaking 2014/15 season in the future.”

Hoole said he was pleased to be joining the Sky Blues and can’t wait to get started under Head Coach Graham Arnold.

“I’m proud to be joining Sydney FC,” he said.

“The ambitions of the club match that of my own and I can’t wait to begin working for Graham.

“I want to be successful in my career and I believe Sydney FC is the best place to make that happen. I’m looking forward to linking up with my new team mates and I’m excited for the future.”

Hoole will link up with Sydney FC next month.
