Adelaide United midfielder James Holland admitted he was frustrated with side’s inability to convert their chances following their 2-1 loss to the Wanderers on Friday night.
Western Sydney goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne prevented Holland from making it 2-0 in the 66th minute as the Reds failed to kill off the contest.
The Wanderers equalised immediately after that lost opportunity before stealing all three points in stoppage time, leaving Adelaide with just a solitary point from their opening two fixtures.

“Obviously we’re at home so we wanted three points,” Holland told Fox Sports.
“To concede so late, especially when I thought we were in control for the first 60 minutes (it’s) really disappointing.
“This is only our second game together so we do need to time to gel but at the same time we don’t want to take too long.
“Tonight was a little bit better than last week but still some passes went astray and we’ve still got to get used to each other and the runs that we make.
“Tomorrow we’ll assess the result, look at what we did wrong, and then look forward.”
Holland limped away from a crunching Brendon Santalab tackle late in the second-half but the off-season signing indicated he would be fit for next weekend’s hosting of Melbourne Victory.
“It’s a bit painful at the moment. I don’t think it’s anything too serious, just a little irritating to be honest,” he said.
