He’s on the cusp of a Caltex Socceroo recall, and now Melbourne Victory star James Troisi has been rewarded for his sensational form in the Hyundai A-League with a spot in this week’s EA SPORTS’ FIFA 17 Team of the Week.
In huge recognition for the Caltex Socceroo Asian Cup Final hero, Troisi has been named alongside the likes of Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain, Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.
Troisi earned his spot for his man-of-the-match display in Victory’s 2-0 win over Adelaide United last Saturday night.
The 28-year-old scored a stunning opening goal at Coopers Stadium, curling a 25-metre shot into the top corner of the net.
