Star Melbourne Victory midfielder Carlos Hernandez is yet to be offered a new deal at the struggling A-League club, with speculation mounting contract negotiations have broken down.
The rumours have been fuelled by Victory coach Jim Magilton starting Hernandez on the bench in recent weeks, appearing to be frustrated with the Costa Rican international-s form and application.
Hernandez has also been on the record as saying he would look for a loan deal at the end of the A-League season to keep fit for Costa Roca-s World Cup qualifier.
The rumour mill also had him linked to a move with Azerbaijan and FC Baku in the last fortnight.
That deal reportedly fell through at the last minute ad for the time being Hernandez has stayed with the Victory.
Hernandez might not be the only Victory player without a new deal at the end of the season with Rodrigo Vargas, Tom Pondeljak and Grant Brebner all yet to receive new deals.
You can add to that list Jean Carlos Solorzano and Diogo Ferreira, whose contracts are up at season-s end.
