Radio Sport New Zealand is raising funds for victims of the Christchurch Earthquake that rocked Canterbury on February 22 2011, and the Wellington Phoenix have jumped on board this fantastic charity initiative.

Many New Zealand sports stars, organisations and fans have generously donated items to be auctioned off and the Wellington Phoenix are also participating.

Nathan Greenham, CEO of the Wellington Phoenix, said the whole club has been keen to get on board with this auction. He has even donated a signed Rivaldo shirt out of his own personal collection.

“As a club we are happy to support any initiative that is in favour of friends, colleagues and family of Christchurch to support Christchurch after their tragedy. This auction is one way we can show our support and with the backing of Radio Sport we can be confident we can make the most of what we can pull together.”

To date the Wellington Phoenix and Wellington Phoenix players have donated the following:

o Boca supporters flag, poster, scarf, playing mittens, socks, cups and mug
o Commerative Phoenix/Boca pennant (not available for purchase)

• A signed pair of Vince Lia football boots
• A signed pair of Tony Lochhead engraved All White Boots and World Cup shirt
