Melbourne Heart are set to sign former Qantas Socceroo winger Richard Garcia.
Melbourne Heart are set to sign former Qantas Socceroo winger Richard Garcia for the upcoming season, should he pass a medical.
A club spokesman confirming reports that first surfaced in The Sydney Morning Herald.
Garcia, who has struggled with injuries in recent years is best remembered for his stint at Hull City in the English Premier League and would bring some much needed big-game experience to John Aloisi-s squad.
If Garcia passes his test, then it looks likely he would join Fred and Matt Thompson in the heart of the side-s midfield, with Heart football manager John Didulica, confident the West Aussie would do a great job.
”He played in that position when he was younger at West Ham and also played that sort of role in the championship. This is the A-League, not the Premier League or championship, and he is a skilful player with good technique who can play in a central position here,” he said.
