Nikola Mileusnic’s recovery from injury took a magical turn this week as he crossed paths with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in an Adelaide gym.
The fleet-footed Adelaide United winger – currently sidelined by ankle ligament damage – was undergoing a workout alongside team-mate Lachlan Brook when they spotted Radcliffe putting in a Hagrid-sized effort nearby.
Mileusnic recounted the chance meeting to radio station Nova 919, explaining he was a big fan of the film and book series and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to say hello.

“We hopped on the cross trainers and there was a guy in front of us putting on a bit of a show,” Mileusnic said.
“Lachlan goes: ‘is that Daniel Radcliffe?’ We were mumbling between us.
“We had our trainer there telling us to keep doing our work. He took his hat off and I remember hearing on radio that he was in Adelaide shooting a film.
“He finished and I went up to him and said ‘hey Daniel’. As soon as he replied his voice was exactly like Harry Potter!
“I didn’t know it was him until he spoke.

“He was very genuine, a very good bloke, down to earth. He spoke to us even though he was in the middle of a workout.”
Fulham fan Radcliffe, who is in Adelaide shooting his next movie, took time to pose for photos with Mileusnic and Brook.
No word yet on whether the pair convinced The Boy Who Lived to pay Coopers Stadium a visit while he’s in town.
