Erica Halloway insists the Western Sydney Wanderers are ready to shed the underdog tag after re-signing for the Westfield W-League 2018/19 season.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder, who was a Wanderers co-captain in last season’s eighth-placed campaign, has inked a deal for a fourth season in Red and Black.

Halloway believes the business done in the off-season signals a sign that Wanderers will be climbing the ladder under new coach Dan Barrett.
“This season will be my 4th year with the club and I’m really stoked to be back on board,” said Halloway.
“It’s a new look team this year with Dan Barrett as coach. He’s been assembling a Championship winning squad with a nice mix of experience and youth.
“I am looking forward to meeting the team and getting things started this week.
“I’m certain the goal, as it always is, is to make Finals this year.”
“We haven’t managed to do it yet, but looking at the calibre of players Dan is attracting and signing, there is zero doubt in my mind that we will lose the underdog tag this year and go all the way.”
