Grand Final LOCKED IN: Everything you need to know ahead of the Melbourne Derby title decider

The A-Leagues will celebrate its 20th anniversary season with the first-ever original Melbourne Derby Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final, with Melbourne City to face Melbourne Victory on Saturday, May 31 at AAMI Park.

In front of a sell-out crowd at Go Media Stadium, Melbourne Victory upset Premiers Auckland FC to reach the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025 Grand Final. Trailing 1-0 heading into the away leg in New Zealand, Victory levelled the tie early in the second half via a deflected, long-range Zinedine Machach strike.

Bruno Fornaroli then doubled Victory’s lead on the hour, slotting home from close range to put Victory 2-0 up on the night and ahead in the tie. The Black Knights threw everything at the travelling side for the final 30 minutes, but Victory held on to record a memorable away win and advance to the Grand Final.
