Gold Coast United has signed another two players, with defender Michael Thwaite and striker Tahj Minniecon joining the club for its inaugural season in the Hyundai A-League.

Thwaite, who is currently on loan at Melbourne Victory from Norwegian club SK Brann, will join United for the 2009/10 season, while Minniecon has also been confirmed as the club’s under-23 marquee signing.

Minniecon is currently plying his trade with the Queensland Roar, but the 19-year-old decided to join United for the next three years.

Gold Coast now has 18 players confirmed for its roster in 2009/10, with Thwaite and Minniecon joining an already impressive list of players that includes talented striker Shane Smeltz, reliable defender Adam Griffiths and goalkeeper Jess Vanstrattan.
