Le Fondre has scored has built a career in England by being a consistent scorer at all levels, including 12 goals for Reading in the Premier League in the 2012/13 season.

And the 31-year-old declared he doesn’t plan to slow down when it comes to finding the net now he’s in the Hyundai A-League.

“When I play I score goals, it’s as simple as that really,” Le Fondre told www.sydneyfc.com.

“When I start games I score goals, when I come off the bench I score goals, my record speaks for itself.

“I had a great time in the [Premier League], I had a great time at Reading and most recently I had a brilliant time at Bolton, I got promoted with them and we stayed up on the last day [last season].

“It was a very emotional day for me, coming on and setting up two and being a big part of staying up.

“I’ve had a lot of highs and I’m looking forward to this being an extended part of that, and really winning here and hopefully this will be the high of my career.”

Le Fondre started the recent Championship season with Bolton but was granted a release to join the Sky Blues for what he feels in the “opportunity of a lifetime”.

Sydney FC has enjoyed incredible success over the last two seasons – winning a Championship, two Premiers’ Plates and an FFA Cup – something Le Fondre plans to continue.

“This club is about winning, that’s why I’ve come here, I want to win, I want to win trophies, score lots of goals…my career has been about scoring goals,” he said.

“I am very confident I can do that at Sydney FC, particularly with the quality players that are already in the squad.

“It’s an honour to join one of the biggest clubs in Australia and I’m confident we will continue to enjoy success.”
